Retired, buying a house near Bang Tao, working it like a move order
Did 22 years in Army logistics, so when my wife and I decided to buy a house in Phuket I planned it the only way I know. We fly out in March and want keys by summer. Where we stand:
Area: Bang Tao side. Close to Laguna for her, close enough to Chalong for my fishing buddies.
Type: detached, two bedrooms, room for a small shop in the carport.
Listings: short list comes off https://tranio.com/thailand/phuket/bang_tao/detached/ plus two agents a buddy used. Six houses on it right now.
Ownership: reading up on how a foreigner holds a house there, land lease vs company. Still working that one.
Money: wire from the States in two tranches, bank already notified.
What I do not have a plan for yet is rainy season. For those who own over there, what did you do to the house the first year before the monsoon?
